About the Event
The Sierra Highlanders Pipe Band will be giving a special St. Patrick’s Day performance from 3:30 to 5:30pm, Tuesday March 17 at Reno Public Market in Midtown Reno.
The Sierra Highlanders Pipe Band is an all volunteer organization and has served Nevada, Northern California and the surrounding areas for over six decades. Northern Nevada’s only pipe band was the first to represent Nevada in the Scotland World Championships and is a fixture at the local Scottish and Irish formal dinners, local Celtic festivals and a popular attraction in local parades. The band is dedicated to serving the local communities, teaching highland bagpipes and drums as well as keeping the cultural richness of Celtic heritage alive.
