Human Trafficking Awareness Day Event with Safe Embrace

Human Trafficking Awareness Day brings the community together for an afternoon of education, reflection, and action at Reno Public Market. Hosted by Safe Embrace and the Human Trafficking Prevention Alliance, this event will feature informative presentations on recognizing human trafficking, a powerful survivor story, and insight from professionals working directly in prevention and crisis intervention.

Guests will be invited to participate in interactive activities, including myths-versus-facts discussions and a trivia challenge designed to deepen understanding and awareness. The afternoon will conclude with a candlelight vigil honoring survivors, followed by a trauma-informed closing activity focused on healing, reflection, and meaningful next steps. Food, refreshments, and time to connect with local organizations and advocates will be available throughout the event.
