Block Printing on Cloth with Root N' Wing Studio

Join Root N' Wing Studio to celebrate spring in the high desert. We will honor time and place by printing some of our beautiful local flora and fauna onto cloth. Participants will make a simple garden flag, and will also choose between a bandana or tea towel. Your blank canvases will be home sewn, and dyed in inspiring spring colors to be ready for your handwork.

Participants will learn about basic block printing by creating these hand-printed pieces. In addition to delving into the inking and printing process, this workshop will also include a brief glimpse into the block carving process. The blocks that we will use are all carved by Caitlin Digman MacDougall, and are based on her original nature art.
